In today’s fast-moving mobile world, we know that it’s important to deliver a high-quality experience on the latest platforms and operating systems. Our team works tirelessly to support every new version of iOS in our real device lab. Keeping this tradition, Visual Studio App Center is pleased to announce launch day support for iOS 12 in App Center.
You can now test your iOS apps with XCUITest, Xamarin.UITest and Appium test scripts in our lab. In addition to framework support, we now have over 80 iOS 12 devices available across 13 different models.

The following devices are now available for testing with iOS 12:

• iPod Touch (6th Gen)
• iPhone 7
• iPhone 7 Plus
• iPhone SE
• iPhone 6s
• iPhone 6s Plus
• iPhone X
• iPhone 8
• iPhone 8 Plus
• iPad 9.7” (2018)
• iPad Pro 10.5”
• iPad Pro 12.9”
• iPad Mini 4

If you’re using CI or a build script to run your tests, be sure to update your device selection to make sure your test suite includes iOS 12.
Test your app on iOS 12 today! If it’s your first time uploading to our lab, please see the XCUITest upload documentation.

New for XCUITest

To make it even easier to run your XCUITest tests in App Center, we’re happy to announce we’ve eliminated the need to modify your Xcode project. XCUITest tests can now run on App Center Test Cloud without linking the App Center XCUITest Extension framework. Removing the need for this extension greatly simplifies how end users can go from local testing to easily running on multiple devices in App Center Test Cloud.
