Microsoft Social Engagement 2018 Update 1.8 is ready and will be released in August 2018. This article describes the features, fixes, and other changes that are included in this update.

New and updated features

Microsoft Social Engagement 2018 Update 1.8 introduces the following features:

Provide your feedback about Social Engagement

After signing in to Social Engagement, you can select the smiley symbol and provide your feedback about the app and the service. We're looking forward to hearing your thoughts and continue to refine the product based on your feedback.

Provide feedback

Compliance stream for WordPress comments and Disqus

When a comment on WordPress is removed by the author, it's also removed from Social Engagement databases. If a user decides to delete their Disqus profile, all related comments and threads are deleted in Social Engagement too.

Removal of interaction token for Facebook user profiles

With this release, we're following Facebook's Graph API v3.0 changes from August 1, 2018: Social Engagement stops supporting engagement actions for Facebook user profiles. Interaction tokens for Facebook users were removed from Social Engagement and you won’t be able to add them anymore.

Good to know: This change doesn't affect the way you work with social profiles for Facebook pages in Social Engagement. You still need to create a Facebook Acquisition profile to allow data acquisition from Facebook for Facebook pages you administer.
