Final Update: Sunday, June 10th 2018 01:32 UTC

We’ve confirmed that all systems are back to normal as of June 10th 2018 01:10 UTC. Our logs show the incident started on June 9th 21:20 UTC and that during the 3 hours and 50 minutes that it took to resolve the issue. Users accessing VSTS may have experienced slowness and intermittent timeouts West Europe region. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

  • Root Cause: The failure was due to fiber-cut caused due to a network outage between Amsterdam and Dublin. Azure networking team failover traffic to different route to mitigate the issue.
  • Chance of Re-occurrence: Low as it is handware failure(fiber cut which is less possible failure).

Sincerely,
Sudheer
