Minecraft: Education Edition – Lesson Plans

So you have seen Minecraft: Education Edition, heard how transformational it can be in the classroom, are keen to use it in your own classroom – perhaps you have even used it in one of your lessons. But now you are stuck for ideas on how to bring it into your lessons. Don’t worry - the Minecraft Educator Community is here to help!

Education.minecraft.net has a dedicated page where educators can explore and find lessons. Some have been put together by the Minecraft Education team, while others have been submitted by teachers who are keen to share their good practise with others. The library of lessons is every growing and there is a huge variety available across all age ranges and subject areas, so no matter what phase of education you teach, there will be something for you.

Each lesson clearly shows the age range and subject area alongside a brief synopsis. Delve deeper and you will find lesson objectives, guiding ideas, student activities, performance expectations and any extra resources if required.

It is impossible to explore this lesson library without coming across inspirational lessons. If you aren’t sure where to start with Minecraft: Education Edition, this is most definitely the place to visit! And as you generate wonderful ideas of your own, this is a great platform to share them and inspire others at the start of their Minecraft journey.
