The Indexing process to deliver search results for new accounts continues to work at a faster pace. At this moment, accounts who have installed Search extension on or after 17:00 UTC on 12/13 will still notice the error message. We expect the indexing operation to complete in the next few hours. The optimizations we put in are helping expedite this process.

After an initial set of mitigation have been applied, we notice that our search service was able to start indexing the accounts. Issue has been fixed for ~30 accounts. Search indexing is catching up for the remaining ~75 accounts. We are also taking additional steps to expedite mitigation and making sure no new accounts will run into the same issue.

We continue to investigate this incident. Our telemetry shows ~100 accounts are currently impacted. This problem started on 12/12 11:00 UTC. This problem is limited to the accounts who have installed/re-installed Search extension after that time. Accounts which have been using this extension prior to that time should not see any issues.
Users in the impacted accounts might notice this error: We are not able to show results because one or more projects in your account are still being indexed
Various mitigation avenues are being explored at the moment. and we will provide an update as soon as possible.

We're investigating Search failures for accounts that are hosted in US region.
This impacts most of the VSTS accounts located within any US region that have installed Search extension for the first time.
