On today's MIEE Spotlight we take a look at the incredible work of Paul Watkins from Microsoft Showcase School, Ysgol Bae Baglan in Wales. Paul is a passionate and dedicated teacher who strives every single day to impact his pupils and colleagues in a positive way.
Due to Paul's great expertise and innovation in the classroom, he was chosen as one of the top educators in the UK to attend Microsoft's Global Teacher Exchange in Budapest in 2016, to share his excellent practice with teachers across the globe. He was also recognised as one of the top 10 influential MIE Experts on Social Media and is one of our Skype Master Teachers!
Paul has inspired and supported a huge number of teachers and schools in Wales in their journey with using technology in the classroom, specifically Office 365 and Skype in the Classroom. It is so inspiring and exciting to see the impact that Paul is making across Wales, by showcasing his own practice and encouraging others to 'have a go' and develop their own skills, through the Microsoft Educator Community.
Paul runs a Skype in the Classroom lunch time club where his pupils have travelled thousands of miles around the world, collaborating and working with schools, guest speakers and educators. It is inspiring to see the impact that this has had on his young people.
